1.7.5 upgrade problems. Posts carousel?

When upgrading the plugin to 1.7.5 this start page crashed. A posts carousel was gone and also the content in the sidebar. The footer was missing too and the adminbar, so it wasn’t possible to access BB. Luckily we had saved an older version of the plugin so the page is up and running again. Made some tests on the dev site and found out the reason probably has to do with the posts carousel. When we removed it and made the update everything was fine. As we want our sites to be updated we hope you can find a solution for this. This is how it’s supposed to look: http://visbyweb.se/agg7/ This is the crashed one: http://visbyweb.se/agg9/ Can send you login privately.

Hey Mats,

What was the previous version of the plugin? Can you go ahead and send temp admin access so we can check both sites? You can just post the details here using the private reply option below.

Hi Mats,

Would it be possible for you to provide FTP access, please? So we can take a closer look.

Thanks,
Danny

Did you happen to override the post-grid module? We had a similar issue with an older site where we had overwritten the post-grid module and the carousel no longer worked because it referenced a function in the newer version of the post-grid module.

Hey Josh,

Thanks for jumping in!

Mats,

It looks like what Josh suggested above is the case, as I can see an fl-builder on your child theme folder containing the post-grid module. Can you go ahead and update the override files? We added schema markups on the post-grid module and are referenced on the latest version of the Post Carousel as well as Post Slider modules.

Let us know how it goes!

Could that function be moved to one of the flbuilder classes instead for the next update?

Hi,

Thats correct, I had changed the post-grid module (post-feed.php) so problem solved. I’ll put my code in new version 1.7.5 instead.

Thanks for your help!

Hey Josh,

I’ve already assigned Justin to take a look at this thread.

Mats,

No worries at all! Enjoy!

Hey Josh,

Thanks for the heads up on that. We’ll look into getting that moved (while keeping alias methods available for anyone that has overridden recently).
