layout problems since updating

Dear beaver-team

I updated to the latest bb-version. I’m running a multisite environment and some of my subsites’ formatting is not correct anymore. If I start bb from frontend (editing) and then click save and publish all is fine again. Do you have any idea what the problem is? Fortunately I first updated my test environment so live site is going well… One example of a site not displaying correctly is: http://beratungspraxis.tschancreative.com

On my clients live site I’m running 40 subsites and I can’t do that “start-bb-and-press-save” procedure for all sites.

Thanks for your fast reply.
Dominic

Hey Dominic,

Are you updating manually via FTP or using the built in updater? I ask because it should clear the builder cache for you if using the updater. Either way, the issue seems to be related to fact that we recently removed the style tag from columns for better SEO and placed that code in the generated CSS files for each page. If you delete the cache yourself, it will regenerate. That is found in wp-content/uploads/bb-plugin/cache. For multisite there will be a cache for for each site as well under wp-content/uploads/sites/<SITE_NUMBER>/bb-plugin/cache. My apologies for the hassle!

Hi Dominic the same thing is happening to me in my Multisites

Hi Michele,

It’s the core WordPress updater. Can you look at manually deleting the cache via FTP? My apologies for the hassle!

Do you have FTP access to your site?

I do it in Cpanel

You should be able to create FTP accounts in cPanel. If you can create a temporary one for me, I’ll get in there and delete the cache for you. Let me know.

I reverted to 1.50 to fix the issue

It’s actually more than one file as a CSS and JS file is generated for each page you build. Those are located in…

public_html/wp-content/uploads/bb-plugin/cache/

The cache for the sub-sites will be in…

public_html/wp-content/uploads/sites/SITE_ID/bb-plugin/cache/

Let me know if you would like me to get in there and do it for you.

Thanks,
Justin

I reverted to 1.50 to fix the issue

Ah, ok. Good idea. Can you try updating using the WordPress updater instead?

Justin

so letting you edit the files will allow me to update to 1.51

Yes, that is correct. If you enter your license key and use the core WordPress updater, there shouldn’t be any issues. If there are still issues, I can get in there and delete the CSS cache for you.

Hi Michele,

Thanks for the additional info. It doesn’t need to be network activated but I do believe the plugin has to be activated on the main site of a network install for the update to show up. Can you try temporarily activating it on the main site and do an update check?

Justin

Thanks for your answer. Where do I get the 1.50 version?
