Masonry Layout

Hi,

I have done a search about this and found this but can’t see the answer http://forum.wpbeaverbuilder.com/support/search/masonry/

Is it possible so that a column could have an outline then stack up in a masonry effect?

Thanks

Hey Susanna,

Here is the rest of that thread. Columns currently have the ability to have borders/outlines, but the grid style available in the posts module is probably your best bet at the moment.

Billy

Thanks Billy,

So the blog grid creates the right effect but how do you add boarders?

Cheers

Also, when using the blog grid feature, is it possible to disable the post title as a link and show all of the post content, without effecting any other blog posts on other web pages?

Hey Susanna,

You would need to do some custom CSS work to apply borders to the blog grid. By default, they have a 1px border. Disabling the post title would also have to be done with CSS. Let me know if you need help there.

Billy

Hi Billy,

My dev guy can do the styling but says he can’t make the customisations to stop the post title being a link and to show the whole post appose to the summary because of the page builder. I only want this to happen on this particular page/category, not globally…

Any ideas?

Many thanks
Susanna

Hey Susanna,

That’s pretty tricky and a bit beyond the scope of custom CSS we can provide here, not to mention, showing the whole post may not even be possible. Sorry about that, Susanna.

Best,
Billy

Ok… So is there a way to set the amount of characters that the summary shows? Alternatively do you have any different suggestions to have customisable text areas in a masonry layout?

Thanks
Susanna

Hey Susanna,

The summary can run off of the post excerpt if you want to give that a shot. The only other suggestion I can offer in this particular situation would be to take a look at some masonry specific plugins. It is a pretty unique style, but there are options out there if the posts module won’t quite do it for you.

Best,
Billy
