Bought the plugin today and wondering how to use it. Are the any video tutorials that can help me get started?November 28, 2014 at 9:28 am #4392
Here is a video that demonstrates how I used Beaver Builder to build a site. There will be more videos coming soon.
Hope that helps for now.

Plugin install failed.
Not so good considering I planned to re-build my site this weekend, can you help me urgently pleaseAugust 29, 2015 at 4:27 am #39196
Sorry to hear you’re having problems. There are many things that could prevent you installing Beaver Builder. For example another plugin or page builder might be causing a conflict. Anyway, let’s see if can get you up and running.
First of all, can you please confirm that you’re installing Beaver Builder from the “Plugin” section of WordPress, as opposed to FTP.
Sometimes files get corrupted during download, so let’s make sure that’s not the problem. Please re-download the Beaver Builder plugin into a different folder, then try re-installing using the newest downloaded version.
If that doesn’t work, please post a temporary admin login (Set as private reply) for your site, so we can take a look and get it fixed for you.
Hope that helps,

Hi guys, I am learning to use the page builder by the minute but I know I am missing some tricks. Question: when I start with the Scroller template and replace the default image with mine, it goes full width (that’s what I want). If I start with blank template I cannot get the pic full width… why? Am I missing a module for full bleed parallax scroll?August 29, 2015 at 6:10 pm #39322
Go into the Row settings by clicking on the Wrench icon when the row is selected. Next set the Row to full-width, then change the Background type to Parallax. Now all you have to do is set your image as the Background Parallax photo and save your settings.
That should be it, but please let us know how you get on.

yes, thank you, that works!
Simple when you know where to look, I guess.
Moving onward…August 30, 2015 at 11:33 am #39452
My new problem: the positioning of items in builder view changes completely when I save or publish. I wish I could attach screenshots here but I don’t know how to do it

Thanks for the login info. There’s nothing wrong with Beaver Builder going on here. What you’re experiencing is a regular design challenge in sizing the background image correctly, then using the right mode to display it and finally some fine tuning with some padding. It’s one of those one’s you just have to play around with until it looks right when you save it.
If you add around 200px padding to bottom of your main row, that will push your photo down a bit. The other option would be to change the background image type to “Fixed” instead of Scroll. If you want the scroll effect however, you will need to play around with adding padding to the row and also maybe to the various modules you have on the front page. It’s a bit hit and miss at first, but you get a feel for it after a while.
I’ll try to get a tutorial done this week to demonstrate what I’m talking about, but I hope this helps for now.

I didn’t think there was anything wrong with BB Colin, just that I need to learn hehehe. Will try each of your tips, it gives somewhere to look and I trust at least one of them will work out for me. I do look forward to the tutorial when it comes out.
Many thanks!August 31, 2015 at 6:24 am #39579
Just letting you know you can always post a new thread if you encounter a problem with BB. 🙂

Thanks Ben, and appologies for clumsy protocol. I just found where the box is to do just that and I’ll use it if/when neededAugust 31, 2015 at 8:42 am #39683
No worries! 🙂

Hi there. My site: http://www.skyborough.com is “mostly” responsive (all done in Beaver Builder) but the background images do NOT reduce in size. The resulting mobile presentation is visually confusing. The background images on pages are in CELLS and not background images in the theme itself.
DavidSeptember 28, 2015 at 7:26 am #48087
Thanks for getting in touch! I checked the site on mobile and everything appears to be fine. If you’re referring to how the background images are too large, that’s because they are based on the content you have. On mobile view, the columns stack on top of each other making your content a bit taller. The background will try to cover all of the content’s box. If we’re to resize the background to maintain its aspect ratio, it wouldn’t look good. You can check the link below to see what I mean.
Hope this helps!

Thanks for posting!
- The navigation bar is mainly controlled by the theme. If you want an additional one, you’re gonna have to hard code it to your theme’s files which requires PHP/CSS knowledge. If you want a menu inside the content area, you can use our Menu module instead.
- I believe you’re referring to the Beaver Builder plugin? If so, no, it doesn’t work on the header options as those are controlled by your theme.
- Where can you access these templates? Also, we don’t really recommend using 2 page builders at once as these usually result in a conflict.

Question regarding permalink settings:
We have built many pages in BB using the default permalink settings. We now want to change the permalink settings to “Post Name” instead of default.
When I first changed the permalink settings I was getting a “500 Internal Server Error.” I sent this to our IT team and they informed me that “the fallback script was set to /index.html which is not provided by wordpress package, changed to /index.php.”
This fixed the “500” error, but now when I change the permalink settings to “Post Name” I can no longer access the page builder. I can see the content that was built, but clicking the page builder button has no effect.
If I change the permalink settings back to default, the page builder works again.
The end goal is to have “Post Name” permalinks and be able to use the page builder.

Sorry to hear about the issues. Generally speaking, caching comes into play more often than not in these situations. If you have a caching plugin installed, go ahead and clear it or even disable it for the time being. From there, re-save your permalinks and then head over to settings > page builder > cache and give the BB cache a clearing. Give it another shot and let me know if that works for you!
