Thanks for the reply. I disabled WP Super Cache, changed the permalinks and cleared the BB cache and browser cache but the problem persists.
I also tried creating a new test page. On creation the page builder works but as soon as the page is saved and the “Post Name” permalink is applied the page builder goes away.
I really appreciate your help on this issue.

Thanks Eric, would you mind starting a new thread in our forums as opposed to us conversing on this one? I’d like to gain access to your site, but would like to do so in an individual thread if possible. Thanks in advance. Feel free to start the thread with the above and then you can post again as a private reply with site URL and login info.

Not really sure about those templates if they’re from VC or your theme. The best method we can do to know is to disable VC and see if that removes the templates. How are you accessing these templates again? Do you mind showing a screenshot? You can upload an image to imgur and paste the link here so we can see.
Re the menu, I’m really sorry but this all depends on your theme. Widget areas are controlled by the theme as well. I’d be able to answer you if I had experience with the theme before. You may want to get in touch with the theme devs instead.
Are you trying to place a SmugMug gallery? You can simply use our Gallery module and choose SmugMug as the source. You need to place the RSS Feed URL of your SmugMug gallery though. More info can be found on the Gallery module Source tooltip.
Hope this helps!

I just purchased Beaver Builder today and I’m just getting started.
I’m trying to add a content slider to my site. I’m using the Content Slider from Advanced Modules. I want the slider to be full width with no white space on either side. Is this something I can accomplish?
ThanksOctober 21, 2015 at 6:10 am #57213
That should be possible. Simply set your row to full width content and place your content slider there. We’ve set a default margin/padding of 20px on rows and modules though so you’ll want to remove those under the Advanced tab.
Hope this helps!
BenOctober 21, 2015 at 7:11 pm #57716
That worked. Thanks
I have 2 follow-up questions.
1. I changed all 4 margins to 0. Now the picture spans the full width of the region, but not the height. The navigation dots at the bottom are below the picture.
2. I notice that the region ends before the top of the page. This is noticeable when I make my header semi transparent. The region ends about half way up the header and does not go all the way to the top of the page.
Thanks for any advice you can give.October 22, 2015 at 7:22 am #57901
Do you mind sharing the URL of the site so we can take a look?
BenOctober 22, 2015 at 7:45 am #57914October 22, 2015 at 8:22 am #57959
- That is where the nav dots should be. There should be an option to remove them.
- You have a Separator module on top of the Content Slider module which is what’s causing that gray space at the top. Remove that separator and you should be good to go!

John BardoelOctober 31, 2015 at 8:06 pm #61792
It’s quite possible the error was just a fluke. Have you tried running the update again? Also, are you having this same problem when updating other plugins? You may not have read/write access to that folder. Lastly, if all else fail, you can deactivate the plugin, delete it, download the latest version on your accounts page, and install it.

MORE Insert Not Working in WPBB
I have used the MORE insertion in posts when NOT using WPBB and it works fine. It gives me the option to show an abbreviated top of page on POSTS summary page.
In WPBB I have inserted the MORE Insertion while in ONE TEXT block on the page and it does not appear to work insofar as presenting a summary at top of the POSTS Summary page.
See: http://www.skyboroughshow.com/posts-intro/ the Course #4 at the top has a MORE Insertion in the text which should deliver the same result as the COURSE #2 (just below it) which has a “Continue Reading” which is what WP normally does. Also, when I insert MORE while in WPBB and return to the page in WPBB the MORE word and dotted line does NOT show.
Am I not using or inserting the MORE Insertion properly???? Should it go in its own row??? Or something else or does it not work in WPBB???
DavidNovember 6, 2015 at 12:35 pm #66476
I was WRONG about MORE not showing up in text editor in WPBB on a Post page. It does show up with dotted lines. Just does not work.November 9, 2015 at 2:54 am #67016
Getting the same thing from my end. I’ve filed a bug report so our lead dev can take a look. Thanks for the heads up! 🙂

Went looking for my question in the forum, found a couple but couldn’t see the answer, anyway, what I wanted to know was can you add extra text fields in the contact module besides name, email & message. Is it also possible to add the required *asterisk next to the required field
ThanksNovember 17, 2015 at 3:35 am #77213
Unfortunately, that’s not currently possible. We do have those as feature requests on our User Voice Forums so feel free to vote for them. In the meantime, you could try a more robust form plugin like Ninja Forms or Formidable Forms. 🙂

Can you share the exact error message? There are a lot of causes for a plugin installation to fail and the error message says a lot. 🙂

I have just lost my whole website and so uploaded a fresh install of wordpress. Ive bought the standard beaver plugin – but cant get further than that.
Uploading the zip file to wordpress site i get :are you sure you want to do that’ screen – but then no options to go from there.
I have tried uploading via FTP – then I cant activate the plugin as critical errors with a file – also get a number of failed transfers. Files seems in grow in size once uploaded to site ( when compared with original files).
Can you help me to upload Beaver builder to my site?
Ps – I only know the very basics of wordpress.
SashaNovember 24, 2015 at 6:53 am #80176
I think you are missing how to do this. From within WordPress you ADD NEW plugin and point to your zip file. WordPress will install the plugin (BeaverBuilder) automatically for you. No need for your FTP’ing it.November 24, 2015 at 7:29 am #80201
Check out David’s reply above and see if that’s what you’re looking for! 🙂

Is there anyway to add captions to Beaver Builder’s gallery “to the large images and not the thumbnails.” Also can the large image size be modified?November 27, 2015 at 8:50 pm #82853
Unfortunately, not out of the box. We’ve a few feature requests for our Gallery module on our User Voice though so if you’ve got a minute, feel free to browse through and either vote for it if it’s already there, or add one. 🙂
If you know PHP and jQuery, you can override our Gallery module. We’re using the MagnificPopup jQuery plugin so you can check into their docs and see what needs to be done. The links below should guide you if ever you’re interested. 🙂
Edit: Added link for User Voice and corrected KB link for overriding modules 🙂

Recently I taken over my site that was developed BB Lite, so I’m new to Wrdpress and BB. I replaced BB Lite with BB Standard. In the end I still get the message that “This page requires BB …” but in Plugins BB is shown as Active. I can still open a page in BB but it wont let me edit it. All the edit icons seem to be disabled. What have I done and how can I fix it??

I just purchased the standard version and installed the plugin. However, I can’t figure out how to utilize one of the supplied themes, namely minim. Where and how do I install or obtain it?November 29, 2015 at 8:55 am #83724
That is a layout template that comes with the plugin. Simply edit a page and use the Page Builder. You’ll notice a Template button on the top right bar. Just click that and browse through the templates. 🙂

Thanks for getting in touch! Firstly, have you made sure to deactivate and delete the Lite version before uploading the Pro zips by chance? If not, give that a shot to see how it goes. If you still get that error, you’ll most likely need to contact your hosting company to increase your allowable upload limit. Let us know how either or one of those goes for you!
